A Wedding Photographer’s dream, Anran in Devon!

When Sammy contacted me and told me that they were looking for a laid back wedding photographer for their August wedding at Anran Glass House in Devon, I couldn't wait to book them in.

She described the vibe as relaxed, with long, handmade trestle tables (hand crafted by husband-to-be & carpenter Dan,) tons of greenery and foliage, and potentially some dogs!

Dan also made the bar, the cake stand, and outfitted a bathtub as a drinks cooler for their day. If there was a way to make it themselves, they did it.

Anran Glass House is definitely a bucket list venue for a lot of wedding photographers in the UK, with its tropical plants and bright, well lit glass ceiling. There is also the beautiful Anran manor house, with the bridal suite on the top floor, overlooking the rolling Devonshire hills and surrounding grounds. It's a perfect place to relax and prepare yourself for the rest of the day. Then there's the "Nissen Hut" which is a WW2 metal hut, beautifully lit with chandeliers (a perfect photo op!) Followed by the gorgeous Anran barn courtyard which is a brilliant place to hold your post ceremony drinks & nibbles.

Honestly? It is an absolute joy to photograph, and every angle looks good.

With Sammy being a former fashion model, I knew the styling was going to be impeccable for her wedding, and also being a fashion photographer myself, I knew we would be a perfect match.

The Boys were outfitted in the ever stylish black tuxedos, with Dan opting for a 3 piece to stand out from the rest of his gang. There were plenty of laughs in the morning as they all learned together how to do a bow tie from YouTube, no clip ons here! The Girls were in beautiful forest green bridesmaids dresses that perfectly complemented the botanical style of the wedding.

Sammy & Dan opted to do their ceremony at the nearby Landscove Church, as it held family sentimentality.

After that they made their way back to Anran to eat, drink and dance as the sun set with a live band (The stereo Jacks) and plenty of boogying!

Please enjoy a selection of images from their perfect day.
