My approach

before we dive into the prices;

I feel I should give some insight into the process of how I shoot a wedding.

My style is very much about story telling.

weaving emotions & images together harmoniously, to create the perfect representation of your day, and you love for each other.

I don’t just want to be another service provider at your wedding, or another box for you to tick off on your planning list.

It’s incredibly important to me that we create images together, collaboratively, not me just taking pictures of you.

this comes from relationship building between us, getting to know each other, so that on the day, your guests ask;

“how long have you been friends with the couple?”

When I hear that, it means I’ve done my job of integrating myself into your wedding day. If you are relaxed around me, it means that your guests will feed off of that energy, and relax around me as well!

Also simple things like connecting on Instagram, emails, phone calls and coffee (or pints!) to chat about all things you.

all of these things help create a solid foundation so that when it comes to the big day, I’m somebody who you know, and can relax and be yourself around.

(that’s where the magic happens!)

You’ll know that I’ve got a cat called Mackerel, a 4 year old called Birdie (animal theme here) and that I’ve been with my wife for 20 years.

let’s create some cool memories!

Collage of photos of a man with tattoos, a woman in a white T-shirt, and a man wearing a wide-brimmed hat, with a landscape featuring an RV and desert, and text describing Ollie Coghill's passion for photography, weddings, and capturing life's details.
Chateau La Durnatie, Long outdoor dinner table set for a celebration, illuminated by string lights during evening, viewed through window shutters, with trees and a distant building in the background.
Chateau La Durantie, They are smiling at each other, and there is a neon sign on the wall behind them that says, 'I'm the happiest me, when I'm with you.'

Design your own package, and decide exactly how you’d like to utilise your budget.

  • I aim to be with you for 3-4 days for Europe.

    This is to allow for travel time, and to mitigate any potential travel complications.

    As an example for a 4 day booking;

    If your wedding is on a Saturday, I would ideally travel Thursday, to be with you and your party two days prior to the wedding day.

    I would then cover Friday - Sunday, and fly home Sunday afternoon/ evening.

    For an example of a 3 day booking;

    Flying on a Friday for a Saturday wedding would be an option.

    However; there is naturally an increased risk of travel complications with only allowing for one travel day.

    I would then cover a potential Friday evening meal, then Saturday’s wedding, and fly home Sunday afternoon/ Evening.

    For the U.S & the rest o the world, it is more than likely to allow for 7+ days.

  • As a minimum, it’d be 10 hours on the wedding day.

    All weddings are different and unique, with variable flights, flight times, potential travel distance to and from the airport, accommodation distance etc.

    We will need to work together to establish the best use of my time for your requirements, based on your plans.

    Here is an example of a previous 4 day coverage French wedding;

    Thursday - Fly in.
    Cover cocktail arrival and evening meal, with you greeting guests arriving at you venue.

    Friday - Meet up at the venue.
    Shoot establishing documentary shots of the venue being dressed, guests relaxing, and do a walk through together, having a pre wedding couples shoot.

    Saturday - The main event!
    Work together to establish my arrival time for your morning prep (If your ceremony is at 1PM, then likely arrival time of 11:30AM.) Then coverage until the evening with people bustin’ a groove on the dance floor. I will leave once I know I have covered everything I need for your gallery, usually between 10pm - 11pm.

    Sunday - Hungover BBQ/ pool party.
    Come back to your venue the day after for a few hours, to capture everyone relaxing, and nursing their hangovers before making my way back to the airport.

  • Travel and accommodation is not included in my pricing, and will need to be discussed further in our consultation.

    Accommodation

    I do not need to stay at the Ritz (I mean, I will if you put me there!) But basic amenities such as a shower, private and secure bedroom where I can lock my equipment away, cooking facilities and WIFI etc would be required.

    Often times an Airbnb is booked, or a spare room at the venue is provided.

    Flights

    We can work together to arrange the easiest and most efficient way for me to arrive at your chosen destination. I live not far and not far from Bristol Airport which is well connected for Europe. I would prefer to fly from here, but other airports are a possibility.

    As a minimum I would need carry on luggage and likely a checked bag.
    All of my camera equipment comes with me into the cabin, where I can see it. I can shoot a wedding without spare clothes, but I can’t do it without my gear!

    Hire car

    More often than not, a small economical hire car will also need to be provided for the duration of my stay, in order to get to and from the airport, and your venue to my accommodation each day.
